  • Wizard Data: Your responses to our "Decision Compass" (e.g., timeline, mobility, income stability) which help us tailor the risk assessment.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and usage metrics to ensure service security and improve performance.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

  • Risk Analysis: To identify hidden clauses (e.g., IRD penalties, Bona Fide Sale clauses) and generate your Strategic Audit Report.
  • Service Improvement: To refine our AI models (using de-identified/anonymized data where possible) to better detect predatory lending patterns.
  • Communication: To send your audit results, security alerts, and customer support responses.
  • Security: To prevent fraudulent uploads and protect the integrity of our platform.

4. Data Storage and Security

Given the sensitive nature of mortgage documents, we implement rigorous security measures:

No Permanent Document Storage:

By default, Mguard.ai does not store your original PDF files longer than necessary to complete the analysis, unless you explicitly choose to save them to your "Audit Vault."

We maintain strict database-level access controls to ensure that your financial data is never accessible to unauthorized parties.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties. We only share information with:

  • AI Service Providers: We use trusted partners (like Google Gemini API) to process document text. Note: We utilize Enterprise-grade API configurations that do not use your data to train their public models.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose data if required by Canadian law (e.g., a court order) or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Your Rights and Data Governance

In accordance with PIPEDA (Canada) and Ontario privacy standards, you have the right to:

  • Access and export your audit history.
  • Request the immediate deletion of your uploaded documents and account data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing at any time (which may limit service functionality).
